The Irish Artist–led archive is an on-going project curated by Megs Morley, calling all Artist-led initiatives, past and present that have worked in Ireland over the last 30 years to become present in a ever evolving archival project. The archive is launching the start of its website www.theartistledarchive.com which will grow to form a directory of artist-led culture in Ireland. Michael Fortune and Aileen Lambert are both practicing artists that were involved in RAP from1997 to 2000. As part of their contribution to the Artist-led Archive, they are currently undertaking the process of collecting, processing and archiving RAP documents, artefacts and documentation. In an attempt to "distil" the spirit of RAP they have placed the archive in a container and will attempt to extract the very essence of the organisation from the archive using a dehumidifier. In turn, the extracted Spirit of RAP will be prepared into an alcoholic beverage which will be used at the launch of the Irish Artist-led Archive show in Galway Arts Centre in November '07 to toast to the memory of RAP (RIP).
